- Eat at least 3 helpings of fish each week.
- Eat 100g liver each week.
- Eat a large helping of dark green vegetables daily.
- Eat some raw vegetables daily, as a salad, with french dressing.
- Eat some linseeds or "Linusit Gold" daily.
- Eat some fresh fruit daily.
- Try to eat as much fresh food as possible in preference to processed food.
- Choose lean cuts of meat and trim all fat away from meat before cooking.
- Try to avoid hard animal fats like butter, lard, suet, dripping and fatty foods such as cream, hard cheese etc.
- Try to eat wholegrain cereals and wholemeal bread rather than refined cereals.
- Try to cut down on sugar and foods containing sugar.
