Waterfall D-Mannose is a rare monosaccaride isomer of glucose made from a pure, natural extract of larch wood. It goes virtually straight through you, passing very quickly into the urine with hardly any metabolism, making it a fast and natural way to treat urinary tract infections. It flushes away the E-coli bacteria - but without causing thrush like antibiotics can do.
The founders of Waterfall D-Mannose are Anna Sawkins and John Bremner, who run the company Sweet Cures of York. John says, "Anna was suffering serious repeat bladder and kidney infections, and had graduated to the big hitting broad-spectrum fluoroquinolene antibiotics, but even they were no longer working for her. Previously we had tried all the other remedies like homeopathic, herbal etc., but they never did any more than temporarily alleviate the condition. So we desperately began a hunt for another alternative. We eventually found some research that suggested that the way that E.coli with fimbria (the only variations that cause bladder infections) attached to cells in the body was mainly by attaching to the Mannose in cells. The thought occured that by filling those receptors with an innocuous form of Mannose with the correct optical orientation to fit the E.coli receptors precisely, the bug's receptors would be filled, and they would slip out of the bladder during normal urination. We discovered we were not the only ones who had made this association, and we found an American source of D-Mannose. Anna tried it immediately, and it worked well, but when we had it analysed it proved to have buffers and other sugars in the mix. We realised we could improve upon this considerably by ensuring that all the Mannose was bio-active and therefore capable of attaching to E.coli cells. D-Mannose is an essential glyconutrient and a natural component of every cell in our bodies. It should not be confused with Mannitol, which does not attach itself to E.coli. and has completely different properties. In simple terms Waterfall D-Mannose fools E.coli. into believing that it is attaching to body cells, when it is actually attaching to Mannose in the urine. It doesn't know the difference. Waterfall D-Mannose passes almost completely into the urine within an hour of taking it, bioactively filling up all the Mannose receptors of the E.coli. present, and teasing off E.coli. that are stuck to the bladder or urinary tract. Usually Waterfall D-Mannose works very quickly, if it is going to work at all. If it does not work, the bacteria is almost certainly not E.coli. If it works a little, but not completely, we have the experience to be able to figure out why this is happening. It is usually something about how the customer is taking it - quantity, frequency, with or without food or drink, or what else the customer is doing that may be exasperating matters."
